WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2026
Total Yarding: 1,879 (+74) | Sheep Yarding: 933 (+451) | Lamb Yarding: 946 (-377)
Agents at Warwick penned 946 lambs and 933 grown sheep. All the regular processors and wholesalers attended along with feeder and restocker buyers plus the return of a local processor. Restocker and feeder buyers competed strongly pushing prices up from $4 to $20/head on suitable stock. Lambs to suit the wholesale meat trade improved by $4/head however the heavy lambs to the processor market lost from $7 to $13/head. Hoggets and all mutton classes to processors sold to easier trends.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $90 to $164/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $132 to $170 with those over 18kg to the butcher trade at $172 to $181/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to feed sold from $170 to $197/head. Lambs to the trade market sold from $214 to $241/head. Lambs to processors sold from $226 to $274 with the best heavy lambs topping at $310/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $139 to $201 down by $32/head. Light weight merino ewes to restockers sold to $53 with those to processors at $65 to $68/head. Heavy dorper ewes to processors sold from $140 to $200/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $100 to $124 with heavy crossbred wethers at $158 to $210/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $165 to $180/head. Meat rams sold from $140 to $208/head.
