BLACKALL CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – THURSDAY 5TH MARCH 2026
Blackall combined agents yarded 2,066 head at their first fat and store sale for 2026. The prime yarding consisted of a small bullock penning, and a very good penning of cows and heavy heifers. A large percentage of cows were in the 500 kg + range and met with excellent competition. Southern processors were again active in the market. Feeder steers were in excellent supply as were good quality backgrounder steers, as a result this market for both descriptions was strong. Feeder heifers were in demand if they were PTE or spayed. Good quality backgrounder heifers attracted great competition as well.
