CHARTERS TOWERS PRIME CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH JUNE 2025

  • Yarding Numbers: 2,020
  • Location: Charters Towers
  • Date: June 25, 2025

Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 2,020 Prime Cattle. The cattle consisted of 761 Bullocks, 211 Heifers, 853 Cows and 195 Bulls.

Cattle comprised of a large single vendor line of Brahman bullocks which made up most of the overall bullock offering, receiving good competition from processors and live exporters, but selling to an easier trend. Isolated pens of quality heifers and cows met with good competition but were also unable to maintain last week’s rates. The bulls yarded were very mixed quality, but the few quality processor and live export bulls sold well. The yarding was drawn from Normanton, Georgetown, Mt Surprise, Einasleigh, The Lynd, Mt Isa, Richmond, Hughenden, Pentland, as well as local and coastal areas.

Prime Quotes: Bullocks were quoted 10c easier, Heifers were 5c easier, Cows were 10c easier, and Bulls were 8c easier on last week’s rates.
