CHARTERS TOWERS PRIME CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2025

  • Yarding Numbers: 1,957
  • Location: Charters Towers
  • Date: December 3, 2025

Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 1,957 Prime cattle consisting of 915 Bullocks, 324 Heifers, 461 Cows and 257 Bulls.

The yarding consisted largely of plainer cattle displaying the impact of hot, dry conditions. Competition remained strong for better-finished stock whereas interest in the plainer types was noticeably softer. The yarding was drawn from Croydon, Mt Garnet, Normanton, Karumba, Chillagoe, Winton, Richmond, Hughenden, as well as local and coastal areas.

Prime Quotes: Bullocks were quoted 15-20¢ easier, Heifers were 10-20¢ easier, Cows were firm on finished types but were back 30-40¢ on plainer types, and Bulls were 5-10¢ dearer on last week’s rates.
