CHARTERS TOWERS PRIME CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 8TH OCTOBER 2025

Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 2,693 Prime cattle, consisting of 651 Bullocks, 366 Heifers, 1,501 Cows and 175 Bulls.
Cattle comprised of one very good quality line of Bullocks, isolated pens of heavyweight Prime Cows, and a large offering of plain conditioned aged Cows. Whilst the trend was slightly easier, all buyers were in attendance and price corrections were quality related.
The yarding was drawn from Mt Isa, Richmond, Hughenden, Normanton, Croydon, Mt Surprise, Einasleigh, Tablelands, Clare as well as local and coastal areas.

Prime Quotes:
Bullocks were quoted unchanged, Heifers were 20¢ easier, Cows were 10¢ easier, and Bulls were 20¢ easier on last week’s rates.

• Bullocks topped at 428¢/kg for 18 Ox sold on A/c LW & NL Miller, Camooweal that weighed 626kg to return $2,681 per head.
• Best Priced trade Heifers were presented on A/c Scott McClymont, Richmond that sold for 374¢/kg, and weighed 526kg to return $1,970 per head.
• The top pen of Cows were sold by A/c RG & LM Wearing, Hughenden for 360¢/kg, weighing 608kg to return $2,187 per head.
• Bulls sold on A/c Bogunda Partnership, Prairie, topped at 348¢/kg and weighed 751kg, to return $2,615 per head.
