Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 937 cattle. The prime cattle consisted of 351 bullocks, 102 heifers, 435 cows and 49 bulls. 

Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded isolated pens of heavy bullocks, prime heifers and well finished cows. with minimal bulls throughout the yard.. Cattle presented well, with similar market trends that we are seeing throughout the state. The yarding was drawn from Richmond, Einasleigh, Mount Garnet as well as local and coastal areas.

Bullocks were quoted 30c easier, heifers were 20c easier, cows were 10c easier and bulls were 10c dearer on the last sale rates.

  • Bullocks topped at 356.2c/kg, A/c Pemble Livestock weighing 614kg to return $2,189 per head.
  • Best priced trade heifers were presented on A/c Lochinvar Grazing selling for 304.2c/kg and weighed 519kg to return $1,579 per head.
  • The top pen of cows sold A/c Circle X for 326.2c/kg weighing 581kg to return $1,896 per head.
  • Bulls sold on A/c JR & DJ Brownson, topping at 334.2c/kg, weighing 857kg to return $2,864 per head.
