CHARTERS TOWERS STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER 2024
Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 3,244 Cattle. The Store Cattle consisted of 2,186 Steers, 1,038 Heifers and 20 Cows & Calves.
The Store Cattle comprised of limited run of quality Steers and Heifers with majority yarding being mixed. Better quality sold well whilst mixed mobs were off the pace. The yarding was drawn from Mount Isa, Hughenden, Georgetown, Croydon, Einasleigh, Mount Garnet, as well as local and coastal areas.

- A pen of Steers A/c CJ & AK Bolton, Granitevale made 2¢/kg and weighed 243kg, returning an average of $777 per head.
- A pen of 15 Charbray Steers A/c Condon Grazing Pty Ltd & LJ Condon, “Conjuboy”, Mt Garnet sold for 303.2¢/kg to weigh 205kg and return $622 per head.
- A good pen of 38 Heifers on A/c Condon Grazing Pty Ltd & LJ Condon, “Conjuboy”, Mt Garnet made 310.2¢/kg, weighed 187kg returning $597 per head.
- 4 Cows & Calves sold on A/c Simmons Family Partnership, “Clarafield”, Julia Creek returned $650 per
