CHARTERS TOWERS STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 5TH JUNE 2026

  • Yarding Numbers: 3,700
  • Location: Charters Towers
  • Date: June 5, 2026

Charters Towers combined agents yarded a total of 3,700 Head. Store cattle consisted of 1,934 Steers, 397 Mickeys, 1,354 Heifers and 15 Cows & Calves.

Store cattle were presented in larger numbers this week, with a predominantly good quality yarding featuring an increased proportion of crossbred cattle. Competition from a strong western buying panel ensured solid demand across most categories. Heifers sold in line with previous weeks although isolated pens of well-bred crossbred also experienced a noticeable lift.

The yarding was drawn from Georgetown, Einasleigh, Mt Garnet, Mt Surprise, Hughenden, Prairie as well as local and coastal areas.
