DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2025

Cattle numbers at Dalby eased by 438 head to 6,488. Cow supply lifted to 1,073 and bulls to 344. Export buyer attendance was reduced compared to the previous week, with not all operators active, although southern buyers were very competitive. Light weight yearling steers and heifers returning to the paddock sold 4c to 6c/kg dearer. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers and heifers to feed met very strong demand, with only quality-related price variation. Heavy grown steers and bullocks to processors averaged 8c to 10c/kg better. The cow yarding was dominated by heavy weights, with prices firm to slightly dearer. Light weight yearling steers to restockers reached 604c, with large samples averaging 512c to 537c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged 496c to 498c and sold to 536c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed also sold to 536c, averaging 475c to 486c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers returning to the paddock made to 482c, averaging 427c to 430c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 422c to 432c, selling to 478c/kg. Heavy weight heifers to feed made to 480c, averaging 432c/kg. Medium weight four-tooth steers to feed averaged 460c and sold to 474c/kg. Heavy grown steers to processors reached 444c, while bullocks sold to 441c to average 426c/kg. Medium weight plain-condition cows averaged 317c and topped at 340c/kg. Heavy 3 score cows averaged 373c, with the best cows averaging 396c and selling to 416c/kg. Heavy bulls made to 415c/kg.
