DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 11TH MARCH 2026
Beneficial rainfall across much of the usual supply region resulted in a sharp decline in numbers at the Dalby sale, with the yarding easing by almost 4,000 head to 2,539. Cow numbers also fell to 606 head for the day, while bull supply was limited with only 86 head offered. A fair panel of export buyers attended, however the southern operator present the previous week was absent. Regular feed and trade buyers, along with restockers, were active in the market. Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged 8c/kg better, while yearling steers to feed improved by around 5c/kg and by as much as 20c/kg in some pens. Yearling heifers to restockers and feed experienced very little change in price, and cows generally sold close to the previous week’s levels.
