DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2025

Dalby agents yarded 5,380 head, including 784 from far Western Queensland and 267 from New South Wales. A quality line-up of vendor-bred cattle contributed to a stronger market overall, with the exception of plainer-conditioned cows. Yearling steers 200 to 280kg topped at 590c/kg to restockers. Yearling steers 280 to 330kg sold from 350c to 556c/kg to restockers. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg with suitable types to restockers made 310c to 560c/kg. Yearling steers 400 to 480kg sold to 524c, averaging 506c/kg, while those over 480kg made to 498c/kg to lot feeders. Yearling heifers under 200kg sold to 372c/kg to restockers. Heifers 280 to 330kg topped at 466c/kg to restockers, selling from 266c to 475c to average 428c/kg. Heifers 330 to 400kg made to 492c/kg to restockers, while those 400 to 480kg also topped at 492c/kg to lot feeders. Yearling heifers over 480kg sold to 466c/kg to processors. Grown steers 400 to 500kg made to 524c/kg to lot feeders, and steers 500 to 600kg sold to 498c/kg to lot feeders. Bullocks over 600kg sold to 470c/kg to processors to average 429c/kg. Grown heifers over 540kg sold to 470c/kg to restockers and 464c/kg to processors. A quality yarding of prime-conditioned cows was penned. The 3-score cows over 520kg topped at 426c/kg, slightly dearer than the previous sale. Plainer cows eased, with 2-score types 400 to 520kg making to 348c/kg. Bulls 450 to 600kg sold to 580c/kg, while bulls over 600kg made to 466c/kg to processors.
