EMERALD FEATURE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 8TH JULY 2025
The third of four feature sales for Emerald combined agents proved popular, with just shy of 6,300 head presented. The quality and presentation did fluctuate in some classes and weight categories, particularly noted in the light end of yearlings and weaners. However, for the most part it was a good quality yarding. The feedlot sector flexed their muscle on most of all pen ready product, finding some competition from grass fatteners in the steer portion of the yarding and lead the way on the better-quality heifers best suited to background. In the weaner and yearling steer classes, buyers were not only selective but showed preference for lots with either accreditation or those pens eligible to suit a criteria for targeted markets.
