GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY 2026
Gracemere combined agents sold a reduced yarding of 2,163 head, consisting of 914 steers, 840 heifers, 268 cows, 109 mickey bulls, 27 bulls and 5 cows & calves.
Todays Gracemere market saw the fat job hold firm upon last week, with slaughter weight steers coming into a firmer market. Feeder steers saw a slight softening but still met with strong competition, carrying into backgrounder weights. Weaner steers also held firm depending on quality. Feeder heifers saw a dearer market, with buoyancy on heifers meeting the 70 and 100 day weights. Weaner heifers felt cheaper, due to a lack of weight and quality.
