GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 22ND APRIL 2026
Gracemere combined agents yarded a total of 2,172 head, consisting of 1,069 steers, 590 heifers, 417 cows, 53 mickey bulls, 31 bulls and 12 cows and calves. The fat market remained solid upon last week, with a softening in second rate cattle. Feeder steers remained firm across the board, although without the highs from last week’s sale. Feeder heifers saw a large strengthening in price due to increased numbers and quality. Restocker steers met outstanding competition to achieve a solid average for the quality of calves presented, with Brahman steers increasing significantly. Weaner heifers were stronger on last week’s prices and achieved stronger demand for the correct articles.
