GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2024
Combined agents at Gracemere this week yarded a total of 3996 head consisting of 1716 steers, 1651 heifers, 397 cows, 52 cows & calves, 41 bulls & 137 mickeys. The second last sale for the year resulted in a mixed quality yarding of cattle. Weaner steers averaged 328c/kg & peaked at 422c/kg. Feeder steers today averaged 337c/kg & got up to a top price of 418c/kg. Weaner heifers averaged 252c/kg with the best pen making 324c/kg. Feeder heifers saw an average of $3/kg with the best pen of those making it up to 334c/kg. The cow market was strong here today to average 243c/kg with a top price of 292c/kg.
