GRACEMERE WEANER & FEEDER SALE MARKET REPORT – MONDAY 1ST JUNE 2026
Gracemere combined agents Weaner & Feeder sale yarded a total of 5,925 head, consisting of 3,756 steers, 2,087 heifers and 82 mickey bulls. It was a mixed but generally good quality offering with the best-bred lines selling strongly – supported by local and outside buyers who gather each year.
Weaner steers in cross bred and euro pens made to 596c/kg on occasions, with the best-bred lots averaging 502c/kg to 585c/kg. Similarly bred weaner heifers reached a top of 434c/kg, with the best pens averaging 380c to 428c/kg. Well bred Brahman heifers averaged close to the best of the crossbreds. EU accredited steers attracted extra attention from fatteners. Yearling steers reached a 585c/kg high, to average 523c to 572c/kg for the best on offer. Yearling Brahman steers averaged 470c to 511c/kg.
Best-bred euro and British cross heifers sold to return averages from 414c to 447c/kg, selling to backgrounders mostly. Feeder steers sold to average 452c to 503c/kg with Brahman feeder weights on the bottom of those averages. Feeder weight heifers were shared by restockers and feedlots to average 369c to 442c/kg.
