ROMA STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 8TH OCTOBER 2024

A total of 7,313 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday.

Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 400c/kg and averaged 265c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 414c/kg and averaged 362c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 414c/kg and averaged 340c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 386c/kg and averaged 361c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topped at 374c/kg and averaged 352c/kg.

South Muthlong Grazing, Wandilla, Eulo sold Angus cross steers to 412c/kg, reaching a top of $1,459 to average $901.  The Angus cross cows & calves sold to $1,310 to average $1,156.

Richland Hill Grazing Pty Ltd, Richland Hill, Mitchell sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 408c/kg, reaching a top of $1,220 to average $936.  The Santa Gertrudis cross heifers sold to 310c/kg, reaching a top of $784 to average $686.

Champion Livestock Co, Longway Station, Longreach sold Santa Gertrudis steers to 408c/kg, reaching a top of $828 to average $828.
