WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 12TH MAY 2026

Total Yarding: 1,243 (-596)

The supply of stock at Warwick reduced to 1,243 head. The yarding contained a good mix of quality weaner yearlings and feeder cattle along with increased numbers of lightweight restockers cows and several pens of good heavy cows to suit the processor. All the regular buyers attended and operated with all classes selling to dearer trends of 5c/kg to 25c/kg.

Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range sold from 350c/kg to 480c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 374c/kg to 479c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold from 420c/kg to 450c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 380c/kg to 452c with those to processors at 410c/kg to 450c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers sold from 300c/kg to 378c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to feed sold from 310c/kg to 364c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed sold from 360c/kg to 400c/kg with those to the wholesale meat trade topping at 460c/kg.

Grown steers to processors sold from 376c/kg to 440c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 320c/kg to 380c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 204c/kg to 306c/kg with those to processors at 248c/kg to 294c/kg. Good heavy cows to processors sold from 290c/kg to 368c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 321c/kg to 394c/kg.
