A small reduction in supply at Warwick with agents penning 944 head. The yarding lacked quality and finish across most lines with only the better bred lines selling to dearer trends. All the usual buyers attended however not all operated.
Yearling steers under 200kg to background sold from 380c to 500c/kg. Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 390c to 526c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to restock improved by 28c and sold from 450c to 520c/kg. Medium weight and heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 420c to 510c with those to the wholesale meat trade topping at 500c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 336c to 432c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed gained 6c and sold from 386c to 450c/kg.
Grown steers in the 500-600kg range to processors sold to 474c with bullocks to processors at 460c to 472c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 420c to 446c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 212c to 338c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors lost 3c and sold from 300c to 355c/kg. Good heavy cows sold from 350c to 425c down by 7c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 356c to 468c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 370c to 464c/kg.
