WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 20TH OCTOBER 2026
Total Yarding: 818 (+115)
Despite some rain across most parts of the supply area numbers at Warwick increased by 115 head to 818. Overall quality continues to be very mixed and a few more feeder cattle came forward this week. Buyer attendance across most classes was good and southern New South Wales restockers continued to provide strong support on light weight cattle. The market responded to the rain and the vast majority of the yarding sold to a dearer trend.
Light weight yearling steers were noticeably dearer while the medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 30c to 50c/kg better. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers were firm to 20c/kg dearer. Medium and heavy weight yearling heifers to feed improved by 35c to 40c/kg. All classes of cows lifted in price by 9c to 17c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to a top of 696c with a fair sample averaging 586c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged from 550c to 560c with sales to 624c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 564c to average 544c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers made to 572c with most sales 464c to 465c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made to 520c and averaged from 460c to 484c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed made to 540c with most at 511c some to the trade at 533c/kg
Bullocks made to 484c to average 481c and grown heifers made to 466c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows made to 363c and averaged 342c/kg. Heavy weight 3 score cows averaged 372c and the best of the cows averaged 395c with isolated sales to 424c/kg. Heavy weight bulls made to 492c/kg.
