WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2026
Total Yarding: 1,895 (+787)
The supply of stock at Warwick lifted by 787 head to 1,895. The yarding was dominated by heavy processor and feeder lines which sold to strong competition. With a plainer quality penning of yearling cattle to suit the restocker. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a market similar to last week.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to background sold to 518c and averaged 457c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to feed sold to 502c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 495c to average 477c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed made 498c to average 478c, with those to the wholesale meat trade at 480c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to restockers made 480c to average 405c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold to 440c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed made 418c to average 397c, with those to the wholesale meat trade at 460c/kg.
Bullocks to processors sold to 472c and averaged from 452c to 454c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold to 440c and averaged 397c to 404c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to processors sold from 230c to 363c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors sold from 303c to 358c/kg. Heavy score 3 and 4 cows sold from 350c to 408c/kg. Light weight bulls to feed made 436c to average 396c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 378c to 421c/kg.
