WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2026

Warwick agents penned 981 cattle a similar number to last sale. The buying panel included an extra southern processor which resulted in all prime cattle selling to slightly dearer trends. The better quality yearling steers and heifers to feeder and restocker buyers were rewarded with prices lifting across most classes of 20c to 36c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers to restockers sold from 470c to 608c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to feed and background sold from 450c to 550c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed lifted by 20c and sold from 450c to 570c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to background sold from 416c to 540c/kg with those over 200kg at 396c to 530c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to feed sold from 474c to 496c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed gained 44c and sold from 440c to 522c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed topped at 544c/kg.
Grown steers in the 500-600kg range to processors sold from 404c to 477c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 270c to 360c with those to processors at 294c to 345c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors sold from 340c to 358c/kg. Good heavy cows sold from 355c to 373c with high yielding cows topping at 426c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 410c to 504c/kg.
