WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 28TH APRIL 2026

Total Yarding: 1,830 (-627)

Agents at Warwick penned 1,830 cattle down by 627 head. Cows again were in the largest numbers and sold to easier trends. An increased supply of young bullocks sold to dearer rates, as did the heavy and medium weight feeder cattle. Yearling steers to the restockers improved in price, however yearling heifers sold to cheaper trends.

Lightweight yearling steers to restockers sold from 240c to 480c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to restockers sold from 300c to 426c, with feeder buyers paying from 380c to 422c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold from 380c to 438c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 400c to 450c/kg, with those to the wholesale meat trade at 438c to 454c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 280-330kg range to restockers sold from 258c to 296c, with those to feeder buyers at 270c to 368c/kg. Medium weight heifers to feed sold from 330c to 386c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold from 380c to 440c/kg.

Bullocks to processors sold from 410c to 425c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 270c to 391c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 170c to 255c, with those to processors at 206c to 291c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors sold from 214c to 285c/kg. Good heavy cows sold from 273c to 325c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 256c to 316c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 349c to 399c/kg.
