WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 3RD MARCH 2026
Total Yarding: 1,889 (-6)
The penning of cattle at Warwick remained unchanged with 1,889 head. The yarding contained a good mix of export and heavy feeder lines, with increased numbers of yearling to suit the restocker. The return of a southern processor lifted prices on most of the export cattle.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold to 534c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to restockers sold to 510c and averaged 464c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 485c to average 458c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed made 489c to average 467c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to the wholesale meat trade sold to 465c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 280-300kg range to background sold to 400c, with those to feed at 450c to average 415c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market made 412c to average 399c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to processors sold to 480c and averaged 439c/kg.
Bullocks to processors sold from 433c to 446c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold to 430c and averaged from 405c to 421c/kg. Light weight cows to processors gained 32c and sold from 290c to 360c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors improved by 23c and sold from 340c to 368c/kg. Good heavy score 3 and 4 cows sold from 360c to 402c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers and feed made 420c to average 398c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors improved by 11c and sold from 367c to 428c/kg.
