WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 7TH APRIL 2026

Total Yarding: 1,834 (-460)

The supply of stock at Warwick reduced by 400 head to 1,834. The yarding continued to show signs of the drying season with most of the cows in plain condition, which reduced from 9c to 15c/kg. All the regular processors and feeder buyers attended and operated, with reduced rates for most lines.

Light weight yearling steers to restockers sold from 300c to 442c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 380c to 500c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold from 330c to 448c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 300c to 420c, with those to the wholesale meat trade at 438c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to processors sold from 230c to 310c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 280-330kg range to feed sold from 276c to 360c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 280c to 390c, with those to wholesale meat trade at 440c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to processors sold from 320c to 434c/kg.

Grown steers to processors sold from 350c to 418c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 350c to 382c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 172c to 295c, with those to processors at 198c to 287c/kg. Score 3 heavy cows to processors sold from 270c to 325c, with the best heavy cows topping at 329c/kg. Light weight bulls to feed sold from 314c to 388c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors made 388c to average 356c/kg.
