Warwick agents penned 1,080 head. All the regular buyers attended and operated in a market that mirrored last weeks sale with bullocks and heavy cows dearer, also medium and heavy feeder steers selling to dearer trends, along with restockers yearling steers which improved by 10c/kg.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 398c to 562c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to feed sold from 420c to 508c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold from 440c to 546c with heavy yearling steers to feed selling to 536c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to processors sold to 488c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 320c to 440c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to restockers sold from 380c to 422c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold to 440c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold from 416c to 456c/kg.
Bullocks to processors sold from 474c to 497c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 390c to 462c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 280c to 360c with those to processors at 250c to 336c/kg. Good heavy cows to processors sold from 356c to 414c/kg. Bulls to processors in the 450-600kg range sold from 408c to 470c with the heavy bulls at 380c to 458c/kg.
