WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 11TH JUNE 2025
Total Yarding: 2,367 (+1,015) | Sheep Yarding: 772 (+317) | Lamb Yarding: 1,595 (+698)
The supply of stock increased to 1,525 lambs and 772 mixed mutton. Not all processors attended, and with extra supply of trade and heavy lambs, prices could not maintain last weeks extreme rates and sold to easier trends. The mutton lines sold to rates close to last week with a slight lift in prices for certain lines. Frosts across the area reduced the number of restockers present.
Very light young lambs to restockers eased by $11 and sold from $78 to $120/head. Young lambs over 16kg to restockers sold from $108 to $139/head. Older lambs in the 16-18kg range returning to the paddock topped at $150/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg to processors and feeder buyers sold from $148 to $169/head. Lambs to the butcher trade sold from $148 to $215/head. Lambs in the 22-24kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $174 to $241/head. Heavy trade lambs to processors sold from $224 to $269 with the top lambs at $304/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $150 to $185 with restockers paying to $194/head. Light weight merino ewes to processors sold from $54 to $75 with those to restockers at $91/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $110 to $194/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $70 to $200 with those to restockers at $115/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $120 to $170/head. Rams to processors sold from $84 to $111/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $188/unit.
