WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 17TH DECEMBER 2025
The supply of stock at Warwick for the last sale of 2025 increased to 1,184 lambs and 1,212 mutton. All the regular processors and wholesalers attended, along with a large panel of restockers. Store lambs improved in price from $9 to $20/head with trade and heavy lambs also dearer from $6 to $30/head. Hoggets sold to dearer trends with the mutton classes firm on last weeks improved rates.
Young light weight lambs to restockers sold from $76 to $112/head with those over 12kg to restockers at $116 to $158/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $157 to $200 with those over 18kg at $222 to $244/head. Older lambs in the 18-22kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $198 to $264/head. Lambs in the 22-30kg range to processors sold from $222 to $300/head. The best heavy lambs topped at $365/head.
Merino hoggets with skin to restockers sold to $186/head. Hoggets to processors sold from $204 to $261/head. Medium weight ewes to processors sold from $132 to $204 with the best heavy ewes at $227/head. Wethers to processors sold from $150 to $200/head. Light weight ram lambs to processors sold from $110 to $134/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $150 to $258/head. Rams to processors sold from $132 to $172/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $335/unit.
