WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST 2026
Total Yarding: 1,287 (-722) | Sheep Yarding: 491 (-112) | Lamb Yarding: 796 (-610)
The reduction in supply to 796 lambs and 491 grown sheep at Warwick resulted in not all processors being able to operate which resulted in prices easing on the heavy lambs however lambs suited to the butcher trade lifted in price from $18 to $29/head. Buyers in the store and feeder lambs were selective which resulted in certain lines back by $39/head with type and quality being the major factor.
Young lambs in the 12-18kg range to restockers sold from $82 to $170/head. Young lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold to $186/head. Older side lambs in the 18-20kg range to butchers sold from $149 to $170/head. Lambs in the 18-22kg range to feed sold from $160 to $221/head. Lambs to suit the wholesale meat trade sold from $271 to $308/head. Heavy lambs to processors sold from $290 to $321/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $150 to $230/head. Light weight plain conditioned ewes to restockers sold from $110 to $180/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $140 to $206/head. A line of merino wethers with skin sold to restockers at $181/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $153 to $260/head. Meat rams sold from $120 to $176/head. A large line of ewes and lambs sold to $230/unit.
