The recent rain event across the supply area reduced numbers to 674 lambs and 713 grown sheep at Warwick. The demand from butchers and processors for young lambs and trade weight lambs plus the heavier lambs out stripped supply with all classes selling to much dearer trends.

Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to butchers sold from $130 to $192, with those in the 16-18kg range at $179 to $212/head. Older lambs in the 18-22kg range to butchers sold from $192 to $260/head. Lambs to suit the wholesale meat trade sold from $259 to $283/head. Lambs in the 26 to 30kg range to processors sold from 276 to $296/head.

Hoggets to processors dearer selling from $215 to $256/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold from $130 to $170/head. Heavy crossbred and dorper ewes to processors sold from $160 to $240/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $179 to $182 with dorper wethers at $244/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $207 to $228/head.
