Agents at Warwick penned 1,398 lambs and 1,043 grown sheep. The yarding contained a mixture of suitable trade lambs and store lambs, with the trade lambs selling to rates similar to last sale however the restockers competed strongly on the store lambs lifting prices on the better quality lines. The mutton all sold to dearer trends.
Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $68 to $109 with an occasional sale to $131/head. Older lambs in the 12-18kg range to restockers sold from $70 to $131/head. Lambs over 28kg to restockers sold from $138 to $161/head. Lambs in the 20-22kg range to the butcher trade sold from $150 to $196/head. Lambs suited to the wholesale meat trade sold from $170 to $221/head. Heavy lambs to processors sold from $209 to $230/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $114 to $159/head. Merino ewes to processors sold from $38 to $120/head with crossbred ewes at $142 to $207/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $110 to $160 with dorper wethers selling to $195/head. Rams to processors sold from $70 to $77/head.
