WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Total Yarding: 2,507 (+1,405) | Sheep Yarding: 808 (+434) | Lamb Yarding: 1,699 (+971)
The supply of stock at Warwick increased to 1,699 lambs and 808 grown sheep. With the extra supply all the regular processors and wholesalers were able to compete, which lifted prices on all trade and heavy lambs, this flowed on to the store lambs with restockers very active. Mutton lines also sold to dearer trends.
Young lambs in the 10- 12kg range to restockers sold from $70 to $94/head. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range sold from $90 to $177, with young lambs over 16kg to the butcher trade at $180 to $216/head. Lightweight merino lambs to restockers sold to $122/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold from $197 to $245/head. Lambs suited to the wholesale meat trade sold from $200 to $299/head. Heavy trade lambs to processors sold from $232 to $325, with the heavy lambs at $343 to $370/head.
Crossbred and dorper hoggets to processors sold from $211 to $308/head. Ewes to processors sold from $140 to $280/head. A line of merino wethers with skin sold to restockers at $250/head. Wethers to processors sold from $120 to $240/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $212 to $221/head. Rams to processors sold from $222 to $268/head. Ewes and lambs topped at $320/unit.
