WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 2026
Total Yarding: 3,540 (+1,816) | Sheep Yarding: 1,783 (+1213) | Lamb Yarding: 1,757 (+603)
The supply of stock increased to 1,757 lambs and 1,783 grown sheep at Warwick. The yarding contained excellent runs of well finished lambs to suit the wholesale and heavy lamb trade, along with good lines of young lambs to suit the restocker and feeder buyers which all sold to dearer trends of $9 to $28/head. Mutton numbers increased and sold to very strong competition from the processors lifting prices from $6 to $25/head.
Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $66 to $154/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers and feeder buyers sold from $93 to $172/head. Young lambs in the 18-22kg range to the butcher trade sold from $182 to $222/head. Older merino lambs in the 18-20kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold to $181, with crossbred and dorper lambs at $220 to $247/head. Lambs in the 20-30 kg range to processors sold from $208 to $290, with the best heavy lambs at $333/head.
Dorper and crossbred hoggets to processors sold from $120 to $240/head. Light weight merino ewes with skin to restockers sold from $91 to $122/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $127 to $270/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $176 to $185, with dorper wethers topping at $244/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $120 to $201/head. Meat rams sold from $100 to $170/head.
