Total Yarding: 3,393 (+568) | Sheep Yarding: 1,601 (+621) | Lamb Yarding: 1,792 (-53)
The supply of stock at Warwick increased to 1,792 lambs and 1,601 grown sheep. The yarding contained extra numbers of quality store lambs to suit the restocker and feeder buyers, with prices lifting from $12 to $21/head. The return of an extra processor also lifted prices across the heavy lambs and the mutton lines.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $102 to $132/head. Young lambs over 16kg to restockers sold from $136 to $157/head. Young lambs over 18kg to the butcher trade sold from $134 to $171/head. Older lambs in the 20-22kg range to the butcher trade sold from $190 to $236/head. Trade weight lambs to the wholesale market sold from $215 to $270/head. Lambs to processors sold from $236 to $305, with the best heavy lambs topping at $350/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $160 to $318/head. Light weight merino ewes to processors sold from $142 to $149/head. Heavy crossbred and dorper ewes to processors sold from $150 to $245/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $141 to $200 with the crossbred wethers at $180 to $346/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $132 to $228/head. Meat rams sold from $114 to $166/head.
