Total Yarding: 2,489 (-419) | Sheep Yarding: 938 (-275) | Lamb Yarding: 1,551 (-144)
Warwick agents penned 1,551 lambs and 938 grown sheep. All the usual processors and butchers attended and competed on a dearer market for the prime lambs and mutton lifting prices from $12 to $32/head. The larger yarding of store lambs sold to feeder operators and restockers at $9 to $16/head dearer.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $53 to $81 with those over 16kg at $79 to $90/head. Older lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $81 to $96/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to feeder buyers sold from $96 to $136/head. Light weight lambs to the butcher trade sold from $141 to $189/head. Lambs suited to the wholesale meat trade sold from $183 to $194/head. Heavy dorper lambs to processors sold from $216 to $220 with crossbreds topping at $229/head.
Heavy hoggets to processors sold from $91 to $147/head. Light weight merino ewes to processors sold to $15, with those to restockers at $41/head. Dorper ewes to processors sold from $75 to $120, with crossbreds at $89 to $132/head. Merino wethers to restockers sold to $56/head. Dorper and crossbred wethers to processors sold from $82 to $129/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $95 to $154/head. Rams to processors sold from $72 to $82/head.
