Warwick agents penned 1,251 lambs and 1,140 mutton. The extra numbers resulted in all processors being able to operate, which lifted prices across the heavy lambs and mutton. With the trade weight lambs still selling to very strong rates, and restocker young lambs selling to dearer trends.
Young lambs under 12kg to restockers sold from $104 to $110/head. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $107 to $163/head. Young lambs in the 18-22kg range to the local butcher trade sold from $188 to $241/head. Older light weight merino lambs to restockers sold from $71 to $107/head. Lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $116 to $172/head. Lambs suited to the butcher trade sold from $153 to $213/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $186 to $272/head. Lambs to processors sold from $275 to $328, with heavy lambs selling from $320 to $350/head.
Hoggets dearer selling from $198 to $300/head. Light weight merino ewes to restockers sold from $93 to $155, with the heavy ewes to processors at $177 to $237/head. Wethers to processors sold from $150 to $247/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $170 to $223, with the older rams at $152 to $217/head. Ewes and lambs topped at $398/unit.
