WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 4TH JUNE 2025

The recent rain event across the local supply area reduced numbers at Warwick to 897 lambs and 455 grown sheep. The overall yarding included good lines of well finished lambs which sold to prices $14 to $37/head dearer than last week, also the mutton sold to much dearer trends. A full panel of buyers attended and competed strongly on all classes offered with several unable to complete orders.

Young lambs to restockers sold from $92 to $117 with those to the butcher trade at $97 to $157/head. Young crossbred and dorper lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $100 to $152/head. Lambs in the 16-20k range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $155 to $200/head. Butcher weight lambs sold from $170 to $229/head. Lambs in the 22-26kg range to processors sold from $199 to $278 with the top at $282/head.

Hoggets to processors sold from $160 to $235/head. Light weight ewes to processors sold from $60 to $100 with the heavy ewes at $130 to $236/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $90 to $138/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $162 to $185/head. Rams to processors sold to $132/head
