WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 4TH MARCH 2026
Total Yarding: 1,854 (-1,686) | Sheep Yarding: 709 (-1,074) | Lamb Yarding: 1,145 (-612)
The number of sheep at Warwick reduced to 1,145 lambs and 709 mutton. The regular wholesale and store buyers attended and operated on a dearer market for restocker and trade weight lambs with hoggets easing in price and ewes and wethers at similar prices to last week.
Young lambs under 12kg to restockers $32 dearer selling from $80 to $100/head. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $125 to $130/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $148 to $192/head. Older lambs in the 16-18kg range made $165/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold from $182 to $228/head. Trade weight lambs gained $6 selling from $203 to $250/head. Heavy lambs to processors sold from $244 to $284/head.
Dorper and crossbred hoggets to processors eased by $13 and sold from $158 to $230/head. Merino ewes to processors sold from $144 to $148/head. Dorper ewes to processors sold from $150 to $230 with the crossbred ewes at $219 to $240/head. Merino wethers to processors sold to $141 with the crossbred wethers at $180 to $220/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $163 to $213/head. Meat rams sold from $120 to $162/head.
