WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 6TH AUGUST 2025

Total Yarding: 1,318 (-585) | Sheep Yarding: 467 (-326) | Lamb Yarding: 851 (-259)

The supply of stock at Warwick reduced to 851 lambs and 467 mutton. The yarding contained very few heavy export lambs, and limited numbers of lambs suited to the trade market, which resulted in prices lifting $16 to $25 per head across these lines. Light weight lambs to suit restockers attracted strong competition lifting prices up to $23/head. The mutton offered was not up to last weeks standard which resulted in prices reducing from $12 to $20/head.

Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold to $139/head. Young lambs in the 16-20kg range to the local butcher trade sold from $180 to $200/head. Light weight older lambs to restockers sold from $100 to $120, with merino lambs to restockers at $139/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to feed sold to $188, with those to the butcher trade at $182 to $226/head. Lambs in the 20-24kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $230 to $274/head. Lambs to processors sold from $240 to $307 with the lambs over 30kg at $334/head.

Hoggets to processors sold from $150 to $220/head. Light weight merino ewes to processors sold from $31 to $56/head. Dorper ewes to restockers sold to $192 with those to processors at $180 to $206/head. Wethers to processors sold from $168 to $176/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $155 to $250/head. Rams to processors sold from $135 to $172/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $206/unit.
