Warwick agents penned 1,616 sheep and lambs down by 575 head. All the regular processors attended however one with ongoing plant renovations didn’t operate. The usual wholesalers competed strongly on the suitable trade lambs which lifted prices from $1 to $23/head with feeder and restocker buyers keen to purchase the young and older store lambs.

Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $40 to $107/head. Young lambs 0ver 16kg to the wholesale meat trade sold from $118 to $130/head. New season trade lambs sold from $183 to $189/head. Older store lambs back to the paddock sold from $61 to $112/head. Dorper lambs in the 18-20kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $153 to $170 with the crossbred lines at $152 to $218/head. Trade weight lambs sold from $142 to $186 with the heavy lambs to processors at $163 to $205/head.

Hoggets to processors lifted in price and sold from $100 to $166/head. Light weight dorper ewes to restockers sold from $30 to $47 with those to processors at $38 to $65/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $70 to $110/head. Merino wethers to restockers made $51 with those to processors at $52/head. Ram lambs to the local meat trade sold from $120 to $141/head. Rams to processors sold from $58 to $80 with restockers paying to $132/head.
